She couldn’t stay quiet forever, not in the Internet era.
We’re talking about Donald Trump Jr.’s new girlfriend Bettina Anderson, who just returned to Instagram for the first time in almost four months.
The influencer told her followers all about a pre Galentine’s (girls’ night out meets Valentine’s Day) fundraiser with fashion label Alice & Olivia last Thursday.
Anderson explained that the philanthropic event raised money for the Selfless Love Foundation, “making a difference in the lives of young people in foster care and helping them build brighter futures.”
“We had the best time celebrating friendship, love, and community,” said the caption. “So grateful for the chance to give back and have fun with amazing women.”
This post is interesting to gossip watchers for two reasons. One is that the gathering was held at the upscale Royal Poinciana Plaza mall in Palm Beach, where she was first spotted on a hot and heavy brunch date with Jr. That was back in September when the “Triggered” author was still very much engaged to Kimberly Guilfoyle.
The second interesting thing is that Anderson’s finally posting again, after four months of radio silence. We hadn’t heard a peep (only fleeting Stories) since word got out that she and the first son were possibly a thing.
The 38-year-old influencer only shared a cryptic post a few days after the brunch heard around the world, writing: “Gossip is the devil’s telephone. Best to just hang up,” quoting Moira Rose, Catherine O’Hara’s snooty character in “Schitt’s Creek.”
Weeks later, after Anderson and Jr. decided to go public, but not official, Guilfoyle was named ambassador to Greece in the new Trump administration. The Fox anchor’s ex wished her well, which made us think they ended amicably.
“I am so proud of Kimberly,” Jr. wrote on X, sharing his father’s Tuesday announcement. “She loves America and she always has wanted to serve the country as an Ambassador. She will be an amazing leader for America First.”
Anderson has since gone on to go to dinners and galas at Mar-a-Lago and even made it to the inauguration festivities in D.C. last week on Jr.’s arm. Guilfoyle was right there, too.
So, was that scenario awkward? According to People magazine, nope.
“Kim saw Don with Bettina and it was all civil. No negativity,” an insider told the magazine, adding Guilfoyle isn’t exactly embracing her single status. “Kim is still very fond of Don, and kept a watchful eye out. She knows how beautiful and well dressed Bettina is, and there is no question that she was hurt when her romance with Don ended.”
