MMA fighter Marlon Vera lost the big fight in Miami. Then he got even more bad news
It’s tough out there for Marlon “Chito” Vera.
After losing to Sean O’Malley at the UFC 299 fight at the Kaseya Center in Miami on Saturday night, the guy finds out his house all the way in Southern California, had been robbed.

On Wednesday, Vera shared a photo of his busted-in door on Instagram, and a few media outlets got a screenshot. The text over screen read: “The f---ing a--hole that broke into my home. I’m gonna find you.”

“Came back home to file police reports and try to get all my legal documents and watches inside the safe that some piece of s--- stole from my house,” the Ecuadorian MMA great told his fans, as per TMZ.
Vera’s wife, María Paulina Escobar, also took to her Stories on Thursday night to tell her followers that since the break-in, she has been feeling “anxiety.”
“They broke into our house. Though they are material things, they are things that have been bought with a lot of effort and hard work.”
The influencer, who had been in Miami with Vera and their three kids at the time, ended the video saying she actually harbored no ill-will toward the thief:
“I really hope he needed the money for something important.”
