‘Fan girl mode unlocked’: See Lionel Messi flash a big smile at this pop star at game
Camila Cabello got to check one major to-do off her bucket list.
The pop star joined a bunch of celebrities to watch Lionel Messi’s second game with Inter Miami at DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale Tuesday night. The 36-year-old Argentine knocked in two goals plus one assist to help bring the team to victory against Atlanta United.
Among the other bold facers seated nearby were Sean Combs, Rauw Alejandro and DJ Khaled, whose adorable son Asahd walked out on the field as Messi’s mascot and was overwhelmed to tears.
Cabello started out watching the game in a casual button down blouse and tank, then switched into the star player’s No. 10 jersey.
On Instagram, the former Fifth Harmony member showed her 67 million plus followers some fun highlights.
In one snap, the 26-year-old Cuban native is seen behind a partition, meeting the man himself, who looks directly at Cabello and flashes a big smile.
“Fan girl mode was fully unlocked when I saw @leomessi - obviously the GOAT, but also so kind and generous with his energy,” said the Miami-raised singer’s caption, adding a shout-out to hospitality guru David Grutman, ostensibly for snagging her the tickets.
Cabello was also loving her new memorabilia and thanked the team’s owner David Beckham and his wife Victoria for the shirt.
“It’s giving baby pink.”
