August weather in South Florida is steamy, but apparently over in some parts of Palm Beach, some folks are feeling the chill.

According to the rumor mill, Victoria Beckham and her new daughter-in-law Nicola Peltz aren’t exactly seeing eye to eye.

Page Six reports the two women aren’t besties, or even in the frenemy zone.

“They can’t stand each other and don’t talk,” a source spilled to the outlet of the “Transformers” actress and former Spice Girl. “The buildup to the wedding was horrendous.”

Peltz married Victoria and David Beckham’s eldest son Brooklyn Beckham, 23, in April in a lavish, over the top ceremony at Montserrol, where the actress’ billionaire father Nelson Peltz and model mother Claudia Heffner live.

Beckham seemed happy enough (or at least put on a brave front) during the blessed event. On Instagram, the onetime pop singer, 48, posted a tribute to the couple post nuptials with a gorgeous black and white shot from Vogue magazine: “Congratulations Mr and Mrs Beckham. Welcome to the family.”

Despite the well wishes, it seems the designer was kept in the dark about the wedding planning and was basically shunned throughout the process.

“She wouldn’t clue Victoria in on anything,” the source continued of Peltz. “Communication was minimal.”

The rift between the two women has only gotten larger and spilled over; apparently now, Brooklyn and his famous parents are currently estranged.

Peltz took to social media over the weekend, looking teary-eyed.

“Sometimes I find it hard to show the sad bits of me,” wrote the 27-year-old heiress. “Growing up with seven siblings and two very strong parents made me really tough, they hammered it into me to not let people bring me down or hurt my heart. It made me put such a wall up to protect myself especially in this industry. We all have days where people make you feel bad and it’s OK to be hurt by it.”

In an interview with Variety that came out Wednesday, Peltz addressed the alleged feud, saying the rumors of tension began when she decided against wearing a Beckham-designed dress.

“I was going to and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realized that her atelier couldn’t do it, so then I had to pick another dress,” she said. “She didn’t say you can’t wear it. I didn’t say I didn’t want to wear it. That’s where it started, and then they ran with that.”

Her husband added: “I’ve learned they’re always going to try to write stuff like that. They’re always going to try and put people down. But everyone gets along, which is good.”
