‘Stunner’: See the dress Victoria Beckham designed for son’s wedding in Palm Beach
It’s Tuesday and the Brooklyn Beckham-Nicola Peltz wedding is still the talk of Palm Beach, and much of the world.
The over-the-top affair on Saturday night drew myriad celebrities, including Eva Longoria, Gordon Ramsay and the Williams sisters, to the Peltzes’ waterside mega mansion also known as Montsorrel.
The belle of the ball’s gorgeous wedding gown was custom-made by Valentino.
But beside the bride, another woman stood out: the mother of the groom.
Note: We did not use the word “upstaged,” but man, oh, man.
Victoria Beckham walked down the aisle in one of her own slinky creations: a silver, floor-length number with spaghetti straps, accessorized by a simple (repurposed) diamond necklace and her arm candy of 20-plus years, soccer legend David Beckham.
British Vogue, for one, gave the opposite of matronly look its stamp of approval. The UK style bible said that the former Spice Girl totally nailed it.
“The queen of polished womenswear that hits a sweet spot between cheeky and classic created a dress that looked effortlessly elegant without blending into the background,” said the mag of the singer turned designer. “An evolution of her classic slips realized at couture level, the fabric was inspired by the reflection of the moonlight on the ocean at night.”
The bespoke slip-like dress, with a dash of lace, was part cocktail, part disco party: “Think shades of Studio 54, but with all the sleekness of brand Beckham.”
Many of Posh’s 29 million-plus followers agreed on Instagram.
“Stunner,” wrote Miami mogul Loren Ridinger.
“Gorgeous,” gushed celeb stylist Ken Paves.
Elle Macpherson just put “LOVE” in all caps.
Hubby approved as well. On his Instagram, Beckham reposted the Vogue aisle pic (he’s wearing a Dior tux) giving the posh mother of his three kids a sweet shout-out:
“Looking good, Mrs. Beckham,” the 46-year-old captioned the elegant shot.
