‘Housewives’ star Alexia Echevarria finally gets her dream wedding, but drama goes on
After a brutal year, Alexia Echevarria finally got her happy ending with Todd Nepola.
“The Real Housewives of Miami” star wed the businessman at the Eden Rock hotel in St. Barths last week. Their original wedding was postponed in August because Echevarria’s mother died of COVID.
“I was on the road to marry the man of my dreams when I had to stop everything as my mother became ill,” the magazine editor wrote at the time to her followers. “What was supposed to be the happiest day of my life today has turned out to be the saddest.”
Pictures posted to her Instagram on Tuesday of the blessed event show an absolutely gorgeous setting by the sea.
“This year has been a whirlwind to say the least, but finishing it off as Mr. & Mrs. gives me hope for the years to come. Thank you all for your kind wishes and love. 12.16.21.”
It’s nice to see some good news for a change, but the current episode of the RHOM Peacock reboot shows there are some rough edges behind the scenes.
The Cuban native revealed to the ladies that Nepola and her older son Peter have butted heads in the past.
In one scene, when mom asks Peter (dad is her ex, former drug kingpin Pedro “Pegy” Rosello) to walk her down the aisle with his younger brother Frankie, he doesn’t seem into the idea.
“Just because you decided to like dive into this world of being married doesn’t mean I have to participate in all this bulls--t,” Peter says.
In another clip, Echevarria cries about their conflict.
“My family is falling apart...I’m in the middle,” she says tearfully. “There’s always something going on in my life.”
Congrats to the newlyweds and here’s to hoping in future episodes they work things out.
