Another reality star just got fired over racist behavior: Party Pete from Miami
Another reality show star has been fired over an alleged, old racist post.
Peter Hunziker was sacked from a cushy gig on Bravo’s high seas show “Below Deck: Med” Wednesday after a post from his past came back to haunt him.
The cable network announced the news on Instagram: “Peter Hunziker of ‘Below Deck Mediterranean’ has been terminated for his racist post. Bravo and [producer] 51 Minds are editing the show to minimize his appearance on subsequent episodes.”
According to Variety, the South Florida resident reshared a meme of a naked Black woman in chains on Instagram. The account now appears to be private, or deleted.
Hunziker, a deckhand, had only been on the reality show about a crew aboard a charter yacht for three episodes of Season 5.
As of Thursday afternoon, his bio was still live on the show’s website.
“When he is not working or taking care of his [8 year old] son – he is known as ‘Party Pete’ and anyone can assume he is either on the beach or at pool party as he resides in the Miami heat,” it partially reads. “‘Party Pete’ turns to dance to burn off the stress of back-to-back charters. This licensed U.S Coast Guard is ready to bring the energy on deck this season.”
So yes, another one bites the dust.
If these so called TV personalities want to stay gainfully employed, they may want to scrub their accounts. Or maybe stop being racist?!
Bravo recently fired “Vanderpump Rules” stars Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni over alleged racist behavior.
Earlier this week, Alex of MTV’s “Siesta Key” was also let go over inflammatory social media posts.
