Old social media posts just cost a reality star his high-profile job.

Alex Kompothecras, one of the stars of “Siesta Key,” was fired Monday, TMZ first reported.

The sacking comes on the heels of fans digging up posts of racist comments and sharing white supremacist images, according to People. The content of the posts were unclear early Wednesday.

On the show’s Tuesday night Season 3 premiere, Kompothecras’ name was not included in the opening credits and his screen time was limited due to a last-minute editing job, insiders told the website.

You can no longer find the 25-year-old in the bio section of the MTV series, which follows a group of young, hard-partying Floridians living in Sarasota.

In a statement, producers tweeted, “We’ve made the decision to cut ties with Alex and are editing the current season to minimize his presence. He will not be in future seasons of ‘Siesta Key.’”

Kompothecras was pulled into the spotlight in 2017 after a disturbing video emerged of his pals dragging a shark behind a boat. Though he was not on the boat, he was severely criticized for associating with the young men who were.

The University of Tampa graduate seemed to be on a better path, recently welcoming a baby girl with his on-and-off screen girlfriend Alyssa Salerno.

His lawyer father, Gary Kompothecras (of 1-800-ASK-GARY fame) is a producer of the show. Neither dad nor son has yet to publicly comment about the matter.
