‘Get well, amigo’: After Chris Cuomo’s coronavirus news, he gets a tribute from Miami

Not you, Chris Cuomo.

The CNN anchor announced he tested positive for the coronavirus on Tuesday.

So that’s why he shot his “Cuomo Prime Time” from his home (actually quarantined in his basement).

The 49 year old native New Yorker announced his health news on social media.

After tirelessly covering the coronavirus outbreak for weeks, Cuomo became the story.

On Monday night, he seemed to be fine while interviewing his older brother, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

In Tuesday’s post, the TV journalist said he was feeling pretty good, despite suffering chills, fever and shortness of breath. The father of three is in great shape so we are rooting for him, he even has been posting short fitness tutorials on his Instagram recently.

Friend and CNN colleague Ana Navarro posted an apt tribute to Cuomo on her Instagram: A video of him from 2016 while he was visiting iconic Cuban restaurant Cafe Versailles in Miami.

“My beloved @ChrisCCuomo has tested positive for coronavirus,” wrote “The View” cohost who is based in Coral Gables. “Christopher is a man of faith. He believes in the power of prayer. If you are the praying kind, please say one for him and all others affected. Get well, mi amigo.”
