It had to be done.

Camila Cabello has postponed her world tour amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The 23-year-old singer made the announcement Tuesday night on social media.

“I’m truly heartbroken to say that we’ve decided we need to postpone the tour,” read Cabello’s post. “We can’t start rehearsals without putting people at risk and with so much up in the air with no real and definitive end in sight, I feel this is the responsible thing to do.”

The former Fifth Harmony member said she was very “sad” at disappointing her fans, who should hang on to their tickets until new dates are set.

“I was so excited to see you and hug you in person and sing these songs with you....We’ve been working on something really magical and special and I keep picturing your faces and i just wanted to bring you guys the dreamiest experience possible. I promise I’ll see you and cuddle your faces off when it’s safe and this all passes.”

The Romance tour was set to end in Miami at AmericanAirlines tour Sept. 26. Ticket sales had not been exactly brisk after old racist posts Cabello wrote as a teen was unearthed. The Miamian later apologized but some damage was done.

Her followers, for the most part, seem to have understood her decision to cancel, however.

“Everyone understands the need for safety, kindness and love right now.”

“That’s OK. Please take care.”

“Queen of doing the right thing.”

Another fan had a great suggestion: “We should all just stream ‘Romance’ and have our own dance parties at home.”
