Ben Affleck’s fluent Spanish came in handy: He was just seen with his costar in Cuba
Ben Affleck showed off nearly perfect Spanish skills during a recent press tour for “The Way Back” in Miami, and they were put to good use yet again.
In Cuba.
People first reported that Affleck was in Havana with the costar of his latest movie, “Dark Water,” Ana de Armas, who was born there. The two are rumored to be a couple and we have to assume his language abilities helped move along the situation.
The divorced father of three, 47, and “Knives Out” star, 31, apparently had a great time last weekend after wrapping their thriller in New Orleans.
“Ana was his tour guide and took him to all her favorite places,” an insider told the magazine. “Ben seemed to love the trip. He was in a great mood and very friendly. He was approached by fans multiple times and happily posed for pictures.”
The (apparent) couple hit up a few different restaurants in La Habana Vieja (Old Cuba) such as Ivan Chef Justo, posing with the namesake chef, who proudly posted a pic on his Instagram.
A Twitter page for de Armas updates shows the two looking super cozy on yet another trip days later, to Costa Rica, walking on the beach and snuggling.
The last time we saw Affleck look this smitten, he was dating Playboy model Shauna Sexton. Or was it “SNL” producer Lindsay Shookus? Or wait, the nanny?
We forget now, but carry on.
