You can party with David Grutman in Miami Beach but don’t expect an invite onto his yacht

Despite his bazillion projects, David Grutman is always up for a good time.

The hospitality king, 45, is gearing up for his always jamming namesake event which he launched in 2017 at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival.

This year’s so called David Grutman Experience on Sunday at the Goya Foods’ Grand Tasting Village will be very, well, Dave.

The event, from 3 to 5 p.m. on the sands of Miami Beach, will feature “curated” noshes from his variety of local hot spots such as Komodo, Swan/Bar Bevy and Planta. Eats will be accompanied by on site DJs spinning and performances by Busta Rhymes and Cedric Gervais.

Grutman, now a father of two, will put on his party hat as well.

“The energy that Busta brings is just incredible, he’s my guy,” said the Naples native. “I’ll also have some surprise guests at the tent. There are always a few stars that come with me. Everyone will be there.”

We don’t doubt that statement for a second. The gregarious businessman has a lot of famous friends, many of whom he takes out on his ginormous yacht, Groot, when they are in town. Think almost every Kardashian family member on the planet, models, movie stars and athletes.

After the fest, Grutman will go back doing to what comes naturally: moving and shaking.

His Groot Hospitality has several new projects. The biggest is probably taking over 1575 Alton Road, if many may recall was home to a, well, not too hip Firestone tire shop.

In a matter of months, three new food concepts will begin to take shape, the entrepreneur confirmed. Signs already line the outside the space, destined to be Winker’s Diner; Tooth Fairy, a fast casual eatery; and SFC, a fried chicken and sushi spot.

“There’s a lot coming down the pipeline from Groot Hospitality,” confirmed Grutman, who also may teach another two-hour course next year at Chaplin Hospitality at FIU.

“That was incredible, a lot of work, but so rewarding,” Grutman said, adding that many of his students will be volunteering and attending the Experience on Sunday. “To be able to give knowledge to them about where I am in the game is pretty special.”
