The glamorous oceanfront Sunny Isles Beach hotel, known for its stunning views and fabulous old-world service, was named one of the best hotels in the United States by U.S. News & World Report.
The 5-star hotel was no. 4 on the list. The top honor went to Four Seasons Resort Lanai in Lanai City, Hawaii. Two Chicago hot spots took second and third place: The Langham and The Peninsula respectively. Another Florida hotel was no. 5: Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort.
For its methodology, US. News & World Report analyzes industry awards, hotel star ratings and user ratings. Hotels that score in the top 10 percent of the Best Hotels in the USA earned a Gold badge.
And yes. Acqualina has a gold badge.
The hotel, which also includes residences, is no stranger to accolades. Last summer USA Today readers chose it as the best waterfront hotel in the entire country, citing its amazing beach views and three pools. It was also awarded the Forbes Five Star Award for the hotel and the spa for the seventh consecutive year as well as AAA Five Diamond for the 11th year in a row.
