The recalls in the current hard-boiled egg listeria outbreak have reached ramen noodles

All expiration dates of Cece’s Veggie Co. Fresh Veggie Ramen with Chicken Broth sold throughout the United States have been recalled because of the side egg, packaged separately.

Those eggs come from Peckish, which gets its eggs from Almark Foods. After a listeria outbreak that’s killed one person was traced to Almark’s Gainesville, Georgia, facility, there’s been a massive recall of products that use Almark’s eggs.

Now, that includes Cece’s Veggie Co. Fresh Veggie Ramen with Chicken Broth in 11.5-ounce packages from Veggie Noodle Co.

Listeria hits 1,600 Americans each year, killing 250. Most people just get a spiked fever, headaches, stomachaches, stiffness and diarrhea. Children under 5, senior citizens and pregnant women are vulnerable to listeria’s worst effects: stillbirths, miscarriages and death.
