What supermarkets are open on Thanksgiving? Are Walmart and Target open at all?

Here’s a rundown of what’s open and closed on Thanksgiving Day in South Florida.

Independent supermarkets: Phone your favorite one. Some are open Thanksgiving Day because they know Publix is closed and people need hot-counter food or last-second supplies. Some want to enjoy the whole holiday and let their employees do the same.

Publix: All stores and pharmacies closed Thanksgiving Day.

Winn-Dixie: Stores close at 4 p.m.

Sedano’s Supermarkets: Open at 7 a.m. or 8 a.m., depending on location, and will close at 6 p.m.

The Fresh Market: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Whole Foods Market: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 4 p.m., depending on location.

Milam Market: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Aldi: All stores closed Thanksgiving Day.

Trader Joe’s: All stores closed Thanksgiving Day.

Target: 5 p.m. Thanksgiving Day to 1 a.m. Friday

Walmart: Opening at 6 p.m. Thanksgiving Day

Walgreens: Open. The pharmacy is likely closed, however. Check here for hours at your preferred location.

CVS: Open. Check here for hours at your preferred location.

Dollar Tree: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
