This was the sweetest friendship yet! People can't get over the immediate bond between a baby deer and a Golden Retriever. It happened so quickly. All it took was some sweet kisses from the fawn to win the dog over. And video of the two sharing a smooch is absolutely precious.

Little Benny wasn't ready for all the love he received, but the deer wanted to connect. The animal gave the Golden some lovin' and it completely sealed the deal.

Sweet Benny was just a puppy himself. He's almost as small as the deer was! Little did he know he would soon be the recipient of the baby's attention. The video shows the fawn slowly leaning over to give the Golden Retriever some friendly licks. It's his way of showing love!

At first, Benny didn't quite seem to know what to make of the love. Who was this strange creature and what was he doing?! But I think the fawn won the Golden over. The pup allowed the baby to keep going after all. I think it made him happy - his tail was wagging and everything!

The whole thing was so adorable. People in the comments section couldn't get over it either.

"Goldens love everyone and everything," wrote one person.

"Goldens are pure sweetness," another commenter agreed.

"The sweetest video I've seen today," praised one person.

"Even a very young fawn knows that Goldies are the sweetest souls on the planet," added someone else.

Are Deer Dangerous to Dogs?

These two clearly hit it off, but that's not always the case. Dogs and deer aren't naturally besties. In fact, deer can sometimes be dangerous to dogs.

While deer aren't aggressive animals, they have been known to attack dogs. Not out of malice, but to protect themselves if they think another animal is attacking their babies.

So if you want to play it safe, it's best to keep these two animals apart.
