British Shorthair Cat Struts Around in Summer Crocs Like He Owns the Place
British Shorthair cats are one of the most adorable cat breeds in existence. Even when they're just hanging out, their stocky frames and cartoon-like faces make them look straight out of a Disney movie. When they proudly model clothing or accessories, the cuteness level explodes!
One British Shorthair cat checks all the boxes by existing, but he also loves to wear the latest fashion. This photogenic boy legitimately has that star quality everyone talks about, and in a recent clip, you'll see why:

Mr. Smokey isn't your average kitty. That much is clear, as he nonchalantly chills out on his own personal garden chair while showing off his precious summer Crocs and matching sunglasses. This British Shorthair cutie is just so cool and so perfect, it's no wonder more than 1.2 million TikTok fans adore him!
Mr. Smokey was made for the camera-he makes it look so effortless and natural. The happy cat seems to love his time in the spotlight, posing and flipping his tail to give a little sass. The stunning gray kitty has been called a diva, a fashion icon, chic, and a queen (he's all of those and then some), but most of all, he's a mama's boy.

This isn't the first time Mr. Smokey modeled cute catwear. One of his most viral videos shows how much this sweet boy loves Mom, as they cuddle together wearing some seriously adorable, matching swag:

There can't possibly be anyone cooler than this kitty. He should share his natural gifts and give feline modeling lessons to all those up-and-coming kitties!
Why Some Cats Like Wearing Accessories
Mr. Smokey is an icon because wearing clothes and accessories isn't usually something cats like to do. For those who enjoy it, it's likely because the pressure clothing provides feels calming. The gentle pressure is like a weighted blanket, offering calm and comfort, lowering stress and anxiety.
Most cats don't like wearing clothes because:
- Losing range of motion can be hazardous.
- Some embellishments can be a choking hazard.
- They're not comfortable.
- It can cause stress for those who don't like dressing up.
- Conflicts can arise among cat groups due to a change in scent.
The ethics surrounding cats and clothes are murky, but if you have a kitty like Mr. Smokey who seems to genuinely like showing off, go for it (with supervision)!
