This Horse's First Meeting With a Baby Deer Is Almost Too Sweet to Handle
When there's a new baby around, everyone wants to meet them. It's like they're the star of the show! Just take a look at the way one horse acted when greeting a pint-sized deer. The baby was so small! It makes so much sense that the horse was transfixed by him. In fact, I bet this is the first of many meetings between these two.
Shared by the Dandelion Blue Farm in Charleston, South Carolina, the clip is so precious. Neither the horse nor the baby deer were scared of each other, which makes the whole thing so incredible.

This is why the internet was invented. So that we can all watch perfect moments like this one. I'm not joking when I say both animals are incredibly gentle with each other. They are so sweet.

Footage shows the horse slowly bending down to greet the little deer. He's a lot bigger than the baby, after all. He gives the other animal a sniff. That's a horse's way of checking another creature out. He can probably tell that it's an infant, which is why he's so careful around him. He doesn't want to hurt the poor thing!
Amazingly, the deer is just as cautious around the much larger horse. He couldn't get enough of him! He doesn't want him to leave!
The clip really is so touching. You never see animals bond like this so quickly. People in the comments section were positively charmed.
"Oh my heart," one person gushed.
"Wowww, so beautiful," added another commenter.
"Aww… so sweet and cute," another person agreed.
"So cute," one commenter praised.
All About Fawns
Baby deer, otherwise known as fawns, are typically born in a season that starts in April and May. They are very tiny when they are born, often only 2 to 4 lbs. The season usually lasts until October and November.
If you see a fawn in the wild, leave them alone. Both mom and baby need space to bond. They're better that way!
