Dramatic Cockatoo Demands Dad's Attention in the Funniest Way

If there's one thing pet parents universally understand, it's that sometimes our cute companions act like toddlers having a full-blown meltdown. This looks different with every pet, and if you have a "mouthy" fur child in the mix, it's sometimes comparable to rationalizing with an angsty teen (which I also have)!

One opinionated Cockatoo named Preston isn't shy about letting his true feelings fly. If anything, the more he's tested, the louder he gets about it. This time, he's giving Dad an earful of an argument, and it's giving "big mad" energy!

Whether you're new to Preston or not, Mom's not lying when she captions a post, "Preston isn't shy when he wants you to know something!" He didn't make his TV debut on Inside Edition for being a typical pet, so this diabolical rant is on the money for a bird in his villain era!

The @monkeyseemonkeydoranch post captures this funny Parrot at his finest as he shouts to Dad that he's not a "bad boy." If he's not complaining about something or bullying Mom, he's not being his true, authentic self (whom we love)!

Preston isn't always shouting and demanding things from his people. There are some quieter moments he spends with Dad (sorry, Mom)! But those clips aren't nearly as hilarious or entertaining as those that show how spicy he can be when stealing the spotlight.

You'd be hard-pressed to find a video that shows Preston not giving someone a piece of his mind (again, sorry, Mom), but that's exactly why he's a sassy little superstar!

Why Cockatoos Bond With One Human More Than Others

I totally get why Preston is so demanding when it comes to wanting Dad's full, undivided attention. In the wild, Cockatoos are social, and they love their flock (which can be upward of 100 or more birds), but they're monogamous by nature.

They choose one special soul for life, and in a domesticated setting, they channel all those intense emotions and physical affection to their one and only trusted human.

Some of the more opinionated Parrots may even reject the others in the house who dare to get in their way of being with their chosen human. All of this to say, if Dad's around, do NOT compete with Preston for his attention!
