Being a pet parent isn't for the faint of heart. When you bring a dog into your family, you're signing up for unconditional love from the very beginning. Unfortunately, as our pups age, it's only natural to start thinking about what life will be like without them.

Daisy is an 18-year-old Dachshund who is clearly the apple of her mom's eye. At this point, she's basically the matriarch of the family, and the internet is just as smitten with her as her humans are. She recently went through a difficult two-month stretch of not feeling well, and everyone's been just a little worried.

That's why it was such a joy when her mom shared an adorable TikTok video of Daisy, with some pep in her step, for the first time in months. Pass the tissues! This sweet girl has us all wrapped around her tiny paw, and it was so heartwarming to see her rally after such a long period of feeling under the weather.

In the clip, @daisytheoldlady is out in the grass when she suddenly picks up the pace and breaks into a quick little jog across the yard. Her bouncy hops and flopping ears are absolutely precious, but for me, it's the happy tail wag that steals the show.

Heartwarming Reactions From Daisy's Fans

Mom wrote in the video caption, "It's been almost two months since she's done this," and it seems the Doxie's fans have been waiting right alongside her to see the sweet senior pup feeling better.

One TikToker, @SharonIsrael, commented, "My Miss Daisy is so precious, and I love seeing her," while @kristin added, "Wonderful to see her joyful again!"

Another follower, @mischievous_maniacs, perfectly captured the collective sentiment by writing, "Aww, this makes me happy! Sweet ol' lady!"

Seeing Daisy hopping around the yard with her tail wagging again felt like a little victory for everyone who loves this sweet old girl, me included!
