Sticky fingers, blue raspberry candy, and somebody inevitably crunching through the plastic ring before the car ride home. Ring Pops were part of a very specific kind of summer childhood.

Aldi's Crofton Ring-Bling Ice Pops Set brings some of that feeling back with reusable frozen treats and fruit-shaped ice cubes designed to look like oversized gem rings. They're on shelves now, but with how adorable they are (especially for the millennial crowd), we don't expect them to last long.

The set includes silicone molds for four ring-shaped freeze pops along with trays for reusable fruit-shaped ice cubes. The flexible silicone makes the frozen shapes easier to release, and the spill-proof lid keeps the trays stacked neatly in the freezer.

The reusable cubes can keep iced coffee, lemonade, sparkling water, or juice cold without melting directly into the drink. The included freezer bag makes it easy to keep extra cubes ready between uses.

The Ring Pop Shape Is Instantly Familiar

Ring Pops first appeared in the late 1970s, and writer CJ Cummings notes that the candy became especially popular during the late '90s and early 2000s, when oversized candy jewelry became a full-blown trend.

The Frozen Rings Feel Made for Pool Days and Summer Parties

The frozen versions still keep the oversized gem shape. Once frozen, the colorful rings feel especially fitting for pool days, summer barbecues, and afternoons on the deck when a cool treat hits just the right note.

The molds work with juice, yogurt blends, fruit purees, or homemade smoothies, depending on what is already sitting in the fridge. Once the first batch goes into the freezer, it is easy to see these becoming part of the regular summer rotation.
