Labradoodle Sets His Sights on the One Ball He Can't Reach
Sampson, the Australian Labradoodle, can be a little stubborn when it comes to his toys. He has a clear favorite and knows exactly what he likes. He's not willing to compromise, either. In fact, he'd rather sit and stare at the one ball that's out of reach than play with any of the others readily available at his feet... er, paws.
His mom recently shared a TikTok video of the picky pup standing his ground, and he's utterly adorable. At 10 years old, Sampson has seen a thing or two, and in his opinion, the ball that's out of reach is always better than the ones he already has nearby.

As you can see in the clip, the floor surrounding the Labradoodle is littered with balls. There are big ones, little ones, and even an entire ball pit full of them. But Sampson has his eyes locked on the single tennis ball sitting on the counter.
He's literally within a foot of countless other options, but as Mom tries to convince him that he doesn't need the one she took away, Sampson is doing his best to make it clear that this is the only ball he will ever need.

In an effort to really drive home his point, Sampson glances sadly over his shoulder, giving Mom his very best puppy dog eyes. It's as if he's quietly saying, "Please?" Mom doesn't appear to be budging, though, which leaves the two of them locked in a classic standoff-a true test of wills.
Did Sampson Get the Ball?
Unfortunately, we don't know the answer to that question.
From the sound of it, Mom wasn't eager to compromise as she panned across the living room and pointed out, "You have all these balls!"
Still, Sampson's attachment to the out-of-reach tennis ball gives off major oldest-child energy. No matter what Mom says, he seems convinced that if he sits there long enough, looks sad enough, and waits patiently enough, she'll eventually have no choice but to give in.
If I had to place a bet, my money would definitely be on the Labradoodle.
