Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter's New Single Just Hit the Billboard Hot 100

Over five decades into her career, Madonna is proving she's still a pop icon - and she's doing so by teaming up with one of today's rising stars.

Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter's new single, Bring Your Love, which the pair premiered on April 17 at Coachella before its official April 30 release, entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 74, the highest debut of the week, according to Billboard. It also hit the No. 9 spot on Dance Digital Song Sales.

Bring Your Love marks Madonna's 59th entry onto the Hot 100; beforehand, her most recent entry was Popular with The Weeknd and Playboi Carti, released in 2023. This new single marks Carpenter's 34th entry onto the list. Forbes notes that "the two released the track just before the beginning of a new tracking period, so it only had a few hours in which to stream and sell in America. That kind of handicap often limits where a tune can debut," making it likely for Bring Your Love to track much higher next week.

Billboard says the song kicked off with 4.1 million chart-eligible streams, 6.6 million airplay audience impressions and 3,000 sold in the United States. This data comes from Luminate, tracked from May 1-7.

Madonna's return to Coachella was particularly significant. On stage, she said, "20 years ago today I performed at Coachella - I was at the dance tent. It was the first time I performed Confessions from the dancefloor. Same boots, same corsets… it's like a full circle moment."

Madonna will release her new album Confessions II on July 3; Carpenter is set to release her new record Man's Best Friend on Aug. 29. After Madonna made a surprise appearance at Carpenter's Coachella set last month, let's hope the two generations of pop stars only continue their collaboration.
