Great Pyrenees Refuses To Leave Tub in Dramatic Protest
Most of the time, dogs absolutely hate the bathtub. Somehow, they can sense it's bath day, which turns into a game of hide-and-seek for their humans. Honestly, it's amazing how my dogs just seem to know when it's their bath day... It's the only day they don't follow me around the house! Ritchie, the Great Pyrenees, is the opposite. Not only does this pup willingly get into the bathtub, but he also refuses to get out of it!

Well, according to the TikTok video his mom posted, Ritchie only refuses to get out of the tub when she doesn't lay out his towels a certain way. @ritchiethepyr is very particular about his post-bath routine, and when his mom recently tried to do things a little differently, the bougie pup gently informed her that he wasn't interested in changing how they do it!
Ritchie and his very long, sad doggie face waited patiently for Mom to put the towels out. As the big, fluffy (and wet) Great Pyrenees hangs out in the large tub, it's clear he's waiting for something. Mom gives viewers a clue in the caption, "Did it once, gotta do it always."

As she's recording, Mom says, "You're not coming down? Am I missing something?" The sweet boy just sits there as if he's saying, "You know exactly what's missing, lady!"
She drapes a fresh towel over the doggie exit ramp and says, "How about now?" Again, the Great Pyrenees doesn't move, except for his shifty eyes. He's committed to the routine and isn't willing to compromise.
Finally, his mom lays down a second towel and asks him again if he's ready to get out. Ritchie decides the magic number of towels is, in fact, two, and he makes his way to the exit ramp, then walks down and out of the tub.
Cute Reactions From His Fans
A TikToker joked about the situation, saying, "He has you so well trained!" and another laughingly said, "Aww, the white carpet treatment!"
One viewer called the Great Pyrenees "a diva," and someone else suggested the pup was "spoiled." However, a very practical follower suggested, "I mean, he was just being cautious... it is a slipping hazard!" and they're not wrong about that either!
I admire this pup for holding his mom to a high standard and not settling for anything less than the best! Good job, Ritchie!
