If you were ever wondering if you can play fetch with your cats, the answer is definitely yes!

In a TikTok video, an adorable orange cat named Cheeto and his mom played fetch, which absolutely delighted her. In the video, she told him to "bring it back" and laughed at how quickly he trotted over to her with the toy in his mouth. The sweet boy would wait patiently for her to throw it before he would rush over to catch it.

In the text overlay, his mom wrote, "Still not over the fact that my cat plays fetch like a dog," and added in the caption, "I was laughing so hard I literally could not breathe."

People quickly flocked to the comments to share the joy of watching the kitty play fetch and to share their own experiences playing fetch with their cats.

"[My cat plays fetch]," one person revealed in the comments. "But she only brings it three-fourths of the way back, so I have to work too ."

Others also said that their cats love to play fetch, but one person added that their cat is a "diva" and will only play with her "depending on her mood."

"So my cat isn't going crazy, got it," one other user wrote. "I was so shocked when he brought it back the first time." Another user even shared that "Awww… my cat used to do this when he was a kitten (now he's like get it yourself) ."

Even may cats will indulge in a game of fetch every once in a while. My cats love to play with bottle caps when we like to play together, and they will speed past me to get the cap. However, even though they love to run for it, they wait right next to it and stare at me until I go to them to throw it back on the other side.

So, while some cat behavior can't be explained, another user in the comments described exactly what it's like being a cat owner: "I love seeing folks with cats overjoyed by the weird, wonderful things they do."
