Stop Everything-HomeGoods Shoppers Are Finding Spice Village Adjacent Goodies In Store
Ever since those tiny Lenox spice villages made a comeback, people cannot get enough of them and, truthfully, myself included. The only reason I haven't taken the plunge on a set is because of that little voice in the back of my head asking, "But where are you going to store it?" Maybe it's the storybook charm or perfectly imperfect little houses, or maybe it's the fact that they feel like they've been plucked straight out of your childhood memories. They're just so cozy and kitschy, bringing so much love into a kitchen.
A big part of the appeal is pure nostalgia. Even if you didn't grow up with one of these on your counter, they tap into that warm, familiar feeling, like something your grandma definitely had (or should have had). And once you start? It's over. Collectors are going to collect, and suddenly you're on the hunt for just one more tiny cottage to complete the "village."
It's that whimsical, blink-and-you-smile kind of decor that turns everyday spaces into something a little more dreamy (a word I've been using a lot lately). And, recently, people have been spotting a whole new wave of pieces that capture that same energy-just with a slightly different twist.

TikTok account @ansleyinalexandria just found a set of Lenox Spice Village Cork Placemats at her local HomeGoods and it's kind of making me want to use the word "dreamy" again. The set includes four placemats using the spice village motif and they are adorable.
"Still hunting for a vintage village set but these are too cute," she wrote in her caption.
Indeed! I was kind of curious to see if each placemat matches with Oregano, Allspice and Basil "cottages" or if each one is different. Fortunately someone in the comments had the same question and Ansley said all four placemats are the same. The set retails for $12.
What People Are Saying
Given the Lenox Spice Village's cult following, the comments section lit up like the Vegas Strip with thoughts on the placemats.
"A placemat?" someone asked. "Girl, who wants that?"
Ansley responded simply with, "Me."
Another commenter let collectors in on another HomeGoods secret-it's also selling a Lenox Spice Village-inspired table runner. And yet another person said they saw a Lenox Spice Village quilt at Ross. Be still my heart.
