Victor Glover Delivers Powerful Family Post Upon Return to Earth
The four-person Artemis II crew returned safely to Earth on Friday evening, splashing down off the coast of San Diego following its historic 10-day lunar fly-by mission.
The crew, featuring astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen, returned to Houston's Johnson Space Center on Saturday, reuniting with their families.
On Sunday morning, Glover shared his first social media post since returning to Earth. The 49-year-old astronaut shared a photo with his wife, Dionna, and four daughters, Genesis, Maya, Joia and Corinne.
"Home, again! Mission complete. I hope we glorified God, humanity, our families and our terrific teams a @NASA and @csa_asc. Time to share the good news!" Glover wrote on X.

Glover gave a shoutout to his family in his first public remarks since returning from the Artemis II mission.
"When this started, I wanted to thank God in public, and I want to thank God again, because even bigger than my challenge trying to describe what we went through, the gratitude of seeing what we saw, doing what we did, and being with who I was with, it's too big to just be in one body," Glover said.
"And I wanted to thank our families for everything," he added. "I love you, but not just those five beautiful cocoa-skinned ladies right there... All of you."
Artemis II's 10-day lunar flyby mission took the crew 252,756 miles away from Earth, setting the human record previously set by the Apollo 13 crew in 1970. The Orion spacecraft got within 4,067 miles of the lunar surface and the crew became the first humans in history to view the far side of the moon with the naked eye.
