Television host, comedian and actor Bob Saget was found dead in a Ritz-Carlton hotel room near Orlando on Sunday afternoon, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.

He was 65 years old.

Shortly after 4 p.m., deputies arrived to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes following a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room, the sheriff’s office said, adding that Saget was subsequently identified and pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities noted that detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use. The Medical Examiner’s Office will determine a cause and manner of death at a later date.

“We have no information on cause of death,” the Orange County Sheriff’s Office told the Miami Herald in an email Sunday night.

The Philadelphia native became a household name in the 1990s for his role as Danny Tanner, a widowed father of three daughters who shared a house with his brother-in-law and best friend in the sitcom “Full House,” which aired from 1987 to 1995. Saget also hosted America’s Funniest Home Videos — now called AFV — for almost ten years, from 1989 to 1997.

“We are saddened to hear about the passing of the great Bob Saget. Our thoughts are with his friends and family at this time,” AFV noted via Twitter.

“Full House” alum, John Stamos — who starred as Saget’s brother-in-the-law Jesse Katsopolis on the show — lamented the loss of his friend and former colleague Sunday night.

“I am broken. I am gutted. I am in complete and utter shock. I will never ever have another friend like him. I love you so much Bobby,” Stamos, 58, said on Twitter.

Candace Cameron Bure, who initially collaborated with Saget as a father-daughter pair on “Full House” and later reconvened with him on the reboot “Fuller House” in 2016, also took to social media to express condolences following his death.

“I don’t know what to say. I have no words. Bob was one of the best humans beings I’ve ever known in my life. I loved him so much,” Cameron Bure, 45, added.

Shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday, Saget wrote on Twitter that he loved the stand-up comedy show he performed the night prior at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall near Jacksonville.

“I had no idea I did a 2-hour set tonight. I’m happily addicted again,” Saget said.
