Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is over, but the mega-star changed Miami. Take a look
Taylor Swift has wrapped up her two-year Eras Tour. Swift brought the tour to South Florida for three concert dates at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.
Here’s a look at the impact she made:
A Taylor Swift college class at UM
The UM’s “Mastermind Taylor Swift Brand” strategic communication class filled up at a pace almost as fast as tickets sold out last August for the superstar’s three South Florida concerts in October 2024. Students who managed to secure a seat for the fall class learned about the marketing and communication strategies that Swift has used to build her billion-dollar brand via “the most diverse and loyal group of fans many of us have ever seen.”

Taylor Swift’s first Florida appearance
The pop star made her South Florida debut at age 18 at a Pembroke Pines chili event. Yes, you read that right. Swift was the third-billed act on a Kiss Country radio station-sponsored Chili Cookoff event held at Pembroke Pines’ C.B. Smith Park on Jan. 27, 2008.

What did fans buy at the Taylor Swift merch booths?
The store inside Hard Rock Stadium was open to everyone ahead of the concerts, including fans without tickets who dream of an Eras Tour T shirt ($45) or the coveted blue crew neck sweatshirt ($65). But the main item fans seemed to want were Eras Tour posters.

What Taylor Swift said and sang on stage in Miami
The extravaganza triumphantly pulled into the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens as the tour kicked off its final leg in Miami two months after a record-setting series of five shows at London’s massive Wembley Stadium. Fifteen more dates followed before Eras concluded Dec. 8 in Vancouver, Canada.
“Miami! We are so back! That’s right,” a beaming Swift said three songs into the opening “Lover Era” set to introduce her rousing female empowerment song “The Man.”
