Coronavirus has given these Miami musicians something to sing about. Listen to their tune
Like most other local musicians James and Diana Kirk we went from playing at various venues in Miami to having no live performances booked.
So they are using their free time to write new songs and revisit old ones: “It keeps us occupied and it’s a productive way to kill some time,” said James Kirk.
“We get a great response when we post our songs on social media. We’ve never had such a demand for more music,” he said. “People are starving for live entertainment. They’re loving it and asking us to play more. It seems to satisfy their soul, it gives them a little break and gets their mind off things.”
Their most recent song, “It Comes in Waves,” addresses the coronavirus pandemic.
“We experience different types of waves, which are vital to our lives and our existence,” said Diana Kirk. “Going through things educates us, makes us resilient and better prepared. Life comes and goes and we just don’t know where it will lead us. But together, we can all take that front seat and enjoy music, laughter, and sound that keeps our lives moving and spinning around.”
