‘Unresponsive guest’: Police release 911 audio following Bob Saget’s death in Florida

Florida authorities released a 911 call made the day after the death of TV icon Bob Saget.

The comedian was found in bed in an Orlando-area hotel room after his family told hotel staff they had not heard from him, according to an incident report released Monday by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

An autopsy was also conducted Monday, though the cause of death has not yet been determined, the chief medical examiner said.

Saget was found lying on his back in his bed at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes just after 4 p.m. Sunday. “His left arm was across his chest while his right arm was resting on the bed. No signs of trauma were seen,” the report revealed.

Saget was declared dead at 4:18 p.m. There were no immediate signs of foul play or drug use, the report added, but it may take up to 10 to 12 weeks for an investigation to be completed.

The report notes the hotel room appeared orderly, with Saget’s belongings near him on his nightstand, and his bags packed.

He was to have a small break, then next stop: West Palm Beach.

The showbiz vet was set to play West Palm Beach Jan. 28-29 at the Palm Beach Improv. The comedy club posted an homage on Instagram after the tragic news broke with the hashtag #MicsUpforSaget.

The Philadelphia native became a household name in the 1990s for his role on TV’s “Full House” as Danny Tanner, a widowed father of three daughters. His amiable character shared a house with his brother-in-law (John Stamos as Jesse) and best friend (Dave Coulier as Joey) in the sitcom airing from 1987 to 1995.

Saget also hosted America’s Funniest Home Videos — now called AFV — for almost 10 years, from 1989 to 1997. He also was the narrator of the TV comedy series ‘How I Met Your Mother,’ from 2005 to 2014.

Shortly before 4 a.m. of the day he died, Saget wrote via Twitter that he loved the stand-up comedy show he performed the night prior at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall near Jacksonville.

“I had no idea I did a 2-hour set tonight. I’m happily addicted again,” Saget said.
