‘Clueless’ star Stacey Dash’s divorce case in Florida just took a bizarre turn
Stacey Dash’s divorce has taken an unusual turn.
The actress’ estranged, Jeffrey Marty, filed documents Monday claiming Dash used trickery to get him to marry her, and wants the whole thing annulled, TMZ first reported.
The New Port Richey lawyer, says he and the “Clueless” star, wed on April 6, 2018, but only because her pastor used “hypnotic prayer techniques” on him, according to Pasco County court documents. The ex couple had only known each other for 10 days before they tied the knot.
The pastor who reportedly told him that the marriage was “God’s will” was not named in the filing.
In June, Dash filed for dissolution of marriage, according to Pasco court records.
The two had a rocky start. Last year, Dash, 53, was arrested on domestic battery charges at their home in Avana Way.
Bodycam footage of her being calmly cuffed was widely circulated on social media. After the incident, she and Marty managed to patch things up, until June.
These days, Dash appears to be in Los Angeles, working on the reboot of “Clueless” as a TV show.
Marty, 41, is her fourth husband.
