Fall is a great time to embark on new travel adventures. It’s the ideal combination of pre-holiday calm, vibrant scenic splendor, and deep discounts.

As part of Southwest Airlines’ “Fall Fares Are Falling” promotion, one-way fares are now available for as little as $39 one-way. The sale pricing are applicable for travel on select dates between August 10 and December 14, with the exception of the Thanksgiving holiday week, when regular fares apply. To take advantage of the sale, bookings must be made by July 20.

The best airfare offers under $100 include the following:

  • Dallas, Texas to Denver, Colorado for $82

  • Dallas, Texas to Memphis, Tennessee for $79

  • Los Angeles, California to Salt Lake City, Utah for $92

  • Los Angeles, California to Tucson, Arizona for $59

  • Miami, Florida to Orlando, Florida for $59

  • New York (LGA) to Baltimore, Maryland for $89

  • Palm Springs, California to San Jose, California for $59

Many of the markets that Southwest serves are included in the airfare sale, though the savings differ by market.

Travel between the Hawaiian Islands offers some of the best discounts, notes Travel + Leisure. One-way airfare from Kona, Hawaii, to Honolulu, Hawaii, has been reduced to $39. Flights from Maui to Kauai cost $39 as well. 2019 saw the launch of Southwest’s inter-Hawaiian air service, which offers tourists wishing to visit Hawaii a practical and affordable flight option.

Southwest Airlines recently extended their flight schedule through March 6, 2024, though it is not applicable to this promotion if customers are wanting to book beyond the fall season. New airline routes for 2024 were also announced, including Cleveland to Tampa, Detroit to Orlando, and Louisville to Fort Myers.
