Southwest Airlines makes summer and fall travel affordable, flights starting at $59
Southwest Airlines wants you to enjoy your summer in the air. The airline just launched its summer sale for flights with fares as low as $59 one-way.
The sale began May 23 and will run until June 1. The website states travelers can book through June 1 at 11:59 p.m. PT to save on continental U.S. travel between June 13 and November 1, 2023.
There are different discount terms for U.S. to Hawaii travel. Continental U.S. to Hawaii travel and Hawaii inter-island travel are discounted from August 8 through November 1, 2023. The budget airline is also offering discounts from the U.S. to international destinations. Travel from Hawaii to the continental U.S., international travel, and travel to/from San Juan, Puerto Rico, are valid from August 15 through November 1, 2023.
Southwest is known for its seasonal flight deals, with rates sometimes dropping as low as $49 one-way. This 10-day sale is an excellent way for travelers to find affordable airfare for Labor Day or travel throughout and to the end of the summer season.

You can catch the best deals by flying between Southwest’s operating bases in cities such as Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago (Midway), Dallas (Love Field), Denver, Fort Lauderdale, Houston (Hobby), Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Oakland, Orlando, Phoenix (Sky Harbor) and Tampa. For example, customers can fly roundtrip between Atlanta and Fort Lauderdale in September for as low as $98.
Southwest has restrictions on discounted flights, including 21-day advance booking and some market and date unavailability, to ensure they can fulfill the demand.
