Brace yourselves, toy enthusiasts because an exciting new attraction is on the horizon that promises to transport you back to the treasured days of your youth. Mattel, the renowned toy manufacturer behind iconic brands like Barbie and Hot Wheels, is currently hard at work developing an extraordinary amusement park in Glendale, AZ that is set to make childhood dreams come true.

The “Mattel Adventure Park,” the first-ever park bearing the Mattel name, is slated to open in 2024. VAI Resort, which bills itself as Arizona’s largest resort, will include a theme park as part of its offerings.

The highly anticipated Mattel Adventure Park is gearing up to offer an array of enticing things to do and immersive experiences that are sure to delight visitors of all ages. Among the main draws is the Barbie Beach House, where guests can sip on a “signature pink beverage” while enjoying the views from the third-story rooftop. This is just one of the exciting revelations on the theme park’s official website making Barbie Girls everywhere count down the days until the park opens.

Aside from Barbie-themed attractions, there are two Hot Wheels roller coasters and the first life-size Thomas the Tank Engine electric passenger train at the indoor Thomas & Friends theme park.

“At Mattel, we are home to some of the most iconic, multi-generational franchises in the world,” Senior Director of Global Location-Based Entertainment for Mattel Julie Freeman shared, according to NBC Los Angeles. “We will be offering new and immersive ways for families to experience classic brands like Hot Wheels, Thomas & Friends, and more.”

There will also be a nine-hole mini golf course at Mattel Adventure Park where visitors can play alongside iconic Mattel board games like Pictionary and Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots. A state-of-the-art laser tag arena, where fans will “have the power” to fight for Eternia inside the iconic Castle Grayskull from Master of the Universe, will also be included in the theme park.

Officials from Mattel have confirmed that the first-ever Mattel brand park will feature a “state-of-the-art” laser tag arena inside a life-size replica of Castle Grayskull from the popular Master of the Universe toy line.

The original opening date for Mattel Adventure Park was 2023, but due to setbacks, the new date will be in 2024. If you’re as thrilled as we are, visit the theme park’s website, which includes a “Construction Cam” where people can follow the development.
