Following the devastating incident surrounding the mini-submarine’s implosion during its exploration of the Titanic wreckage at a depth of two miles beneath the ocean surface, a popular Las Vegas attraction has made significant changes to its performances.

“Titanic,” directed by James Cameron, was a cinematic masterpiece, and its theme song, “My Heart Will Go On,” became an instant classic. The Academy Award-winning song performed by highly regarded singer Celine Dion captivated audiences globally with its powerful delivery.

During both of her residencies at Caesars Palace, Dion sang the song for which she received an Oscar in 1999. The song list at Fountains at Bellagio still features her recording. The Italian version at Grand Canal Shoppes was performed live.

St. Mark’s Square at The Venetian’s Grand Canal Shoppes has featured the song as part of the Streetmosphere performances. However, according to TravelPulse, it has been put on hold for the time being.

The Ocean Gate Titan mini-submarine is said to have imploded after apparently becoming unable to handle diving to such a great depth in the ocean, tragically resulting in the deaths of five men.

Streetmosphere” is a free event that features singers on the hotel’s promenade. The hotel’s management decided to remove the song after several guests complained with concerns about the music being inappropriate.

The show was co-produced by the hotel and Ken Henderson of Best Agency. He explained the decision in an interview as “just a pause,” adding that “the mall management and Best Agency certainly would not want to offend anyone.”

In a recent statement, he expressed his firm belief that the song will soon find its way back into the regular rotation of performances.
