Bellagio’s stunning remodel offers new luxurious amenities inspired by Lake Como
Las Vegas is known for its glamorous allure, and Bellagio is one of the most iconic hotels in the city. Now, the property is set to undergo a massive $110 million renovation that will transform all its guest rooms and suites into opulent suites with beautiful views inspired by Lake Como and the surrounding Italian Alps. The long-loved Sin City landmark recently unveiled concept art for the lush refurbishment of all the rooms and suites in its Spa Tower.
“Bellagio’s commitment to delivering unparalleled accommodations, experiences, and guest service for our discerning guests from around the world is the hallmark of our brand promise,” Ann Hoff, president and COO of Bellagio, said in a statement provided to Travel + Leisure. “The Spa Tower’s beautiful and luxurious new suites and guest rooms will reinforce our position as one of the hospitality industry’s premier destinations.”
Although the full renovation of the Spa Tower’s 819 guest rooms and 104 suites is not expected to be finished until October, a selection of newly renovated rooms will be available for booking as early as this July.
The modernized suites were created in collaboration with Champalimaud Design of New York. The hotel describes the “natural vibrancy of Lake Como and the Alps” as being reflected in the new suites’ decor, which is done in soothing, neutral, and earthy tones.
The design team selected the color garnet to represent the “pomegranate found in the Mediterranean,” an azure blue to captivate the essence of the lakes, a dusty rose and jade hue to draw in the shades of flora and fauna in the area, and the pale beige on the walls to create the impression that you are walking through the small villages in northern Italy. In contrast, the hallways outside the rooms feature deep, midnight blue doors that are accentuated by handmade Italian light fixtures.
Relax on the plush sofas and chairs in the living spaces, stretch out on the soft beds, or spend as much time as you like in the ultra-luxurious bathrooms, which include white marble surfaces and motion-sensor lighting, so you don’t stumble into the bathroom in the middle of the night.
“We wanted to create a residential aesthetic with the timeless sense of luxury that is uniquely Bellagio,” Winston Kong, a partner at Champalimaud Design, shared in a statement.
The Gettys Group, a Chicago-based interior design firm, collaborated with the hotel to modernize the Spa Tower’s guest rooms, giving them the same muted aesthetic as the suites. The hotel’s suites and rooms are designed to provide visitors with a tranquil escape from the excitement of the Strip outside, yet they can always catch a peek of the bright lights of Las Vegas by drawing back the drapes.
