‘Big things coming’: David Beckham teases fans with Facebook announcement
There’s no certainty what retired world soccer star David Beckham will announce Monday. But it’s likely to be something soccer-ish.
Like, say, something about the potential Major League Soccer franchise in Miami, the franchise for which Beckham would be an owner? The franchise that’s been trying to maneuver around Miami’s political minefield for four years?
In a Facebook video post from around 6 a.m. Eastern time, Beckham twirls a soccer ball on his finger basketball-style, then says, “Big things coming. Three o’clock, Monday, Facebook.”
That’s 3 p.m., United Kingdom time, 11 a.m. Eastern time in the United States.
