Sounds like Miami. But not THAT Miami. Man nabbed for indecent exposure at Walmart
This sounds like a Miami story. It even took place in Miami. Except not the Miami where you’d imagine this kind of thing would happen.
Rather, this Miami is a suburb in northeastern Oklahoma.
This is where we find the bizarre string of events that led to the arrest of a man named Brian Joseph Becker, charged with indecent exposure at a Walmart parking lot.
Becker, 35, the Miami News Record reported, was at an Ottawa County Walmart on Oct. 18. According to a Miami Police Department incident report — remember, this is the Oklahoma Miami and not the South Florida PD — officers were dispatched to the Walmart Supercenter. A man named Jack Rhinehart complained that someone had been following three young women inside the store and taking pictures of them.
Rhinehart is the father of one of the women. His daughter called to tell him of the man she’d seen acting strangely.
When police arrived, they found the suspect, Becker, and Rhinehart in a nearby parking lot.
A Miami police officer made contact with Becker who, at the time, was sitting on the driver side of his car. Becker told the officer he had “f----- up” and said he took pictures of three females in the store, the paper reported.
Becker then added he went outside to his vehicle in the parking lot and pulled down his pants and was thinking of masturbating inside his car.
Another Miami officer arrived and Becker told that second policeman he had pulled his pants down and exposed himself and attempted to masturbate while looking at photos on his cell phone.
Rhinehart confirmed Becker’s account, telling the officer that he opened Becker’s car door and saw that his pants and underwear were down to his knees and Becker was exposed. Rhinehart told police he also saw pornographic material on the passenger seat next to Becker.
Becker was sent to Ottawa County Jail. Bond was set at $10,000. His phone was taken for evidence.
