Teenager shot and killed in Little Haiti Friday night

A 17-year-old boy was shot and killed in front of his house in Little Haiti Friday night, Miami police said.

Police responded to shots fired around 8 p.m. at 6328 NW 3rd Ct., about a block away from Miami Edison Senior High School, spokesman Rene Pimentel said. The victim, who was not named, was transported by Miami Fire Rescue to Jackson Memorial Hospital.

The victim died about an hour after he arrived at the hospital, Pimentel said.

Police are investigating the shooting.
