An electrician was murdered as he stood on the street while waiting to go to work Tuesday morning, according to North Miami Beach police. Now, they want the public's help in finding the gunman.

North Miami Beach police found the body of Leroy Alba, 41, just after 6 a.m. near the corner of Northeast 163rd Street and 21st Avenue. Herald news partner CBS4 reports Alba was an electrician waiting to start work on an apartment building under construction on Northeast 164th Street.

North Miami Beach police told media at the scene they believe the incident was an attempted robbery.
