Burning school bus closes Northwest 37th Avenue during rush hour
A burning school bus shut down Northwest 37th Avenue in both directions at 153rd Street, near the Opa-locka Airport Thursday morning during rush hour.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews, including a truck from the airport, tried to tame the fire consuming the bus from A. Oliveros Transportation, a Hialeah-based company.
There were no children on the bus when the fire broke out, and the bus driver was able to get out safely, according to CBS4.
The phone number on the company’s website is out of service.
This is a developing story and will be updated as more information is gathered.
