The carjacker who killed a 27-year-old father and former Marine last weekend has died after being shot by someone else in the vehicle, police said.

Miami Gardens police say 18-year-old Demetrius Williams of Miami Gardens died Monday afternoon, 18 hours after Guillermo Comme was killed.

As Comme left a house in the 19800 block of Northwest 44th Court around midnight Sunday, Williams strolled up with two guns pointed at the car containing Comme and three other passengers. The other passengers took off, but Comme stayed and fought and Williams shot him, police say.

One of Comme’s relatives, a brother according to what wife Laura Comme told Miami Herald news partner CBS4, shot Williams four times.

Police say they found Comme dead in the car’s back seat and Williams on the ground at a nearby intersection.
