Pedestrian hit and killed crossing a Miami street
A blue Honda hit and killed an 83-year-old man Monday morning as he crossed Southwest First Street between 11th and 10th avenues.
The Honda was going fast enough for the pedestrian to hit the windshield on the driver’s side. According to Miami police, he was taken to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he was declared dead. Police didn’t release his name because his relatives had not been notified.
The investigation shut down the area around Southwest 12th Avenue and First Street to traffic from 8:45 to 11:30 a.m.
