An F-16 Fighting Falcon jet crashed into a safety barrier at the Homestead Air Reserve Base Monday morning during takeoff, according to Air Force officials.

The jet, which is assigned to the 482nd Fighter Wing, hit the safety barrier “due to an aborted takeoff,” the Air Force said in a news release. No one was injured in the crash.

The pilot was heading out on a routine training mission at about 9:30 a.m. when the accident happened.

Investigators are now looking into what cause the pilot to hit the barrier.
