Pedestrian hit and killed in Miami

Biscayne Boulevard will be shut down from Northeast 14th Street to 15th Terrace until around 10 a.m. after a Lexus sedan struck and killed a pedestrian at Biscayne and Northeast 15th Street.

Police rerouted southbound traffic to Northeast Second Avenue.

The Lexus IS200t F Sport was heading north when it hit a pedestrian who was crossing Biscayne from the east side of the street.

The man bounced off the windshield, almost caving it in on the passenger side. The pedestrian was knocked out of two white loafers and his body was thrown to the opposite east-west crosswalk.
