The plan by shooting suspect Nikolas Cruz included an AR-15 assault rifle, ammunition — and an Uber.

The 19-year-old Cruz, arrived at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, in Broward County, on Wednesday afternoon in a Uber car, Javier Correoso, a public affairs manager at Uber told the Miami Herald.

“We are assisting law enforcement authorities with the investigation,” Correoso said Thursday.

He did not answer other questions nor identified the driver who drove Cruz to what would be the fatal scene of the crime.

“Those questions should be directed to the Broward County Sheriff Office,” he said.

A spokesman for the Broward Sheriff’s Office said he could not confirm that Cruz had purchased a trip with the popular Uber service.

On social media, people questioned how Cruz managed to conceal the assault rifle from the Uber driver.

“Ok, let’s use logic here. He had an AR-15. How would a driver not know what he was carrying?,” Andrew Carden posted to the Facebook group Uber Drivers Nationwide. Others urged that blame should not be placed on the Uber driver and suggested that Cruz could have hidden the rifle and ammunition in a big duffle bag.
