Convicted murderer wanted in shooting death of Fort Lauderdale man

The Broward Sheriff’s Office has issued a warrant for the arrest of Hubert Blount, a convicted murderer suspected of killing a man arguing with Blount’s sister.

According to sheriff’s detectives, Thomas and Blount’s sister argued Tuesday night. The woman called Blount, a 44-year-old with a 1995 second-degree murder conviction. Blount went to Thomas’ house in the 1100 block of Northwest 30th Terrace, stepped up to Thomas’ porch and shot him several times, according to BSO.

Thomas, who had a son and a daughter, was 41.
