Broward Sheriff’s Office investigators are looking for a young man caught on video slamming a 68-year-old dog-walking woman onto concrete before tossing her into a pool.
According to the incident report from the Broward Sheriff’s Office, Nancy James told deputies she and another resident of the North Lauderdale Player’s Place Complex development, Mitchelle Lozano, watch over the pool area, tennis courts and other areas as part of the development’s master association. The two residents and their dogs entered the pool area around 6 p.m. Saturday to stop the party with what she estimated to be 200 young people.
The video picks up what happened as James spoke to some of those present.
In the video, which went viral Monday after appearing first in Daily Mail Online, one of the partygoers suddenly decides James needs to go into the pool. He picks her up by the waist, then either slams her or trips over her legs or the leashes. Either way, both crash to the ground.
The young male regains his footing, scoops James in a cradle-carry and throws her into the pool.
The Broward deputy who made the report described James as “very frightened and upset,” soaked from shoulders down and with a fresh bruise on her right leg. North Lauderdale Fire Rescue found another bruise on James’ left shoulder, although she refused to go to the hospital.
