Driver in distress loses control of his big rig, crashes into a tree and dies
A Miami Gardens husband, father and truck driver was killed Wednesday morning when his truck smashed into a tree in Pembroke Pines.
Police say it’s likely 61-year-old John Henry Young suffered a medical issue as he left 19446 SW Fifth St. after making a delivery. With Henry unable to control the 2015 International truck, the massive vehicle immediately veered across the road and into a tree in front of 430 SW 195th Ave.
Two witnesses tried CPR on the unresponsive Young, but couldn’t revive him. He was pronounced dead at Memorial Hospital West at 9:16 a.m.
